Unit tweaks, scenario changes, and a whole lot more for this exalted WWII mega game

Matrix Games, Slitherine (www.slitherine.com), and 2by3 Games (www.2by3games.com) are thrilled to release the comprehensive 1.04.36 update for their critically and fan-acclaimed strategy game, Gary Grigsby’s War in the East. This important update includes dozens of improvements, fixes and tweaks, including major changes to the First Winter balance along with tweaks to Soviet Guard units, Partisans, and how Fortifications work. There are also changes to how damaged units are returned as replacements, how combat is resolved with multiple attacking units, many aspects of the air war, and much, much more.

In addition, there have been several improvements to the UI and AI and a host of other fixes and adjustments that have been added through months of testing and player feedback. To reflect the many changes and tweaks, an updated manual is also included, which will be updated further over time.  We strongly recommend that all owners of Gary Grigsby’s War in the East upgrade to the 1.04.36 release.

With a healthy number of press and developers in attendance, as well as our wonderful staff from around the world, the event was a guaranteed success. Responses from those in attendance and those in the social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, and our forums and on other internet sites has been positive, with press sending in requests for more information and access to press packs and trying to get in interview time with our developers and staff!
