The highly anticipated 4X “Living Galaxy” Sci-Fi strategy game gets some quick post-release fixes to fine-tune the economy and improve stability

Matrix Games and CodeForce (www.codeforce.co.nz) are pleased to announce an important and quick post-release update for Distant Worlds!  This new v1.0.2 update resolves all critical and a few serious issues that were discovered after last week’s release, including a resource distribution issue that could cause negative cash flow in the economy as well as several different bugs that could cause crashes on some system configurations.  For the best play experience, Matrix Games strongly recommends that all owners of Distant Worlds upgrade to v1.0.2, which works fine with previous saved games.


With Distant Worlds, gamers can experience a “living galaxy” with endless options and replayability, command  vast empires that span many star system and engage in research, diplomacy, ship design, espionage, trade, combat and more! Matrix Games/Slitherine’s upcoming release of Brian Kelly’s Desert War 1940-42 uses a simple game mechanic often found in WWII board games.  It gives tank units a “special place” in the player’s toolbox—a positive shift to the combat force ratio if attacking, and the opposite when defending.  Coming up short of attack factors?  No problem!  Throw in some tanks.  A 1 to 1 attack can become a 2 to 1, 3 to 1, 4 to 1, etc.  In Desert War 1940
