The highly anticipated 4X “Living Galaxy” Sci-Fi strategy game gets some quick post-release fixes to fine-tune the economy and improve stability

Matrix Games and CodeForce (www.codeforce.co.nz) are pleased to announce an important and quick post-release update for Distant Worlds!  This new v1.0.2 update resolves all critical and a few serious issues that were discovered after last week’s release, including a resource distribution issue that could cause negative cash flow in the economy as well as several different bugs that could cause crashes on some system configurations.  For the best play experience, Matrix Games strongly recommends that all owners of Distant Worlds upgrade to v1.0.2, which works fine with previous saved games.

 

With Distant Worlds, gamers can experience a “living galaxy” with endless options and replayability, command  vast empires that span many star system and engage in research, diplomacy, ship design, espionage, trade, combat and more! We had the chance to chat a bit with Pavel Kubat, developer of Aggressors, our epic upcoming 4x game set during Ancient Rome!
 
Matrix: First of all, thanks a lot for your time and congrats for the outstanding job with this game so far. What moved you to adopt the Ancient Mediterranean during the period of the rise of Rome as setting?
 
Pavel Kubat: The Aggressors was initially supposed to be released as a multimod game, but I eventually realized that this was simply not possible. Not just because we had a very small development team, but also because the amount of testing required and likelihood of bugs would not let us finish it.
