Since Uncle Sam is taxing everybody today, why not get something for free in return!!

Today is tax day in the United States and since the government is going to take something out of your pocket, Matrix Games and Boku Strategy Games are going to put something back in. With The War Engine Tax Day Giveaway, gamers can download and play the full version of The War Engine for free! The download for this powerful wargame development tool kit is available from Strategy Informer, Gamer’s Hell, Fan Gaming, and Atomic Gamer.

The War Engine is the latest addition to the Matrix Games free games catalogue, but don’t forget to check out the other free products we have available like Titans of Steel, Pacific War, Steel Panthers: World at War and War in Russia.

David Heath, Director of Operations at Matrix Games, said “I don’t think there are many wargamers out there that look forward to tax day. So why not soften the blow a little bit with a completely free product that brings tons of versatility and hours of fun?”

The War Engine is the ultimate table top war game simulation and replication kit.  Limited only by your imagination, all units, weapons and terrain are fully configurable in artwork and stats.  Ready made worlds range from sci-fi to fantasy to space to World War 2.

Features include:

  • Highly tactical – watch your tracks, destroy key terrain, find the objectives!
  • Seven full games in one
  • Individual scenarios as well as linked campaigns
  • Move your army from one battle to the next!
  • Weapons, terrain and units are all fully configurable
