Armored Brigade has been released just a week ago, but it has already been praised in many reviews covering the game. Its well-balanced design combining huge flexibility with depth and the sheer number of units and equipment at disposal of the players has proven to be a winning formula.

So it is not surprising that the developer’s commitment to creating this highly-detailed wargame has been recognized on many occasions.

Look at this list of reviews below, are you ready to take the Cold War into your hands?

Wargamer.com

"Armored Brigade is a game that makes you feel smart. Beneath the dense web of unit stats and a bevy of modern military hardware lies a title that really makes you feel like God’s gift to tactics"

"Armored Brigade is overflowing with wargaming goodness, chief of which is the huge assortment of units and environments to use them in, followed by the joy of ordering around formations of autonomous and relatively self-sufficient units. Better yet, this is a relatively accessible game, and anyone with even a passing familiarity with either RTS or traditional wargames will be able to come to grips with the essential mechanics in no-time"

AWargamersNeedFullThing

"Armored Brigade is out and wargamers around the world are thankful during this season of thanks. It is an adult sized toy chest filled with wargaming goodness for those of us who enjoy gaming a fictional World War III"

NoDiceNoGlory.com

"For those that love to play Team Yankee and wonder what to do when there isn’t a game available, we now have Armored Brigade from Slitherine/Matrix Games [...] My first thoughts, after I played a game, was that it reminded me of the Harpoon PC game from the 90’s"

OutofEight

"Armored Brigade is a fantastic tactical strategy game with a unique battle generator that ensures huge replay value, along with manageable mechanics and solid AI"

Gamepedia

"If games like Close Combat or Steel Panthers get your goat, then you should absolutely check out Armored Brigade"

Battlestar Galactica Deadlock - Dev Diary #15 'Let's dance!'

Thursday, January 17, 2019

The gym was often empty during this particular shift. Lucinda’s presence in the room was enough to keep the rest of the battered equipment vacant. She played old Tauron music whenever she was here alone; raunchy lyrics from teenage mops of hair and guitars, borne of a time when she was young enough to care about such things. She adjusted her footing, squared up the bag once more, and released one one two, her left foot tapping the floor on both jabs before the cross. The bag wavered dutifully.

Footwork had always been her strong point. No point throwing your hands up if you didn’t have the balance and stamina to match. She’d made some quick cubits back in the academy flooring some of the flyboys. Most of them were dead now.

The crisis that has enveloped Venezuela since 2013 has reached a quasi-apocalyptic dimension.

The Government of Caracas has accused in several occasions that the reason for this humanitarian catastrophe is the constant interference of the USA and its puppets in the region, willing to stop the glorious Bolivarian Revolution started with Hugo Chavez.

These suspects have been reinforced by the enclosing relationship between Colombia and NATO, culminating in 2015 in a joint military operation against maritime piracy.

The Tyranids are an extremely original and unique race.

Their playstyle is rather different compared to the other factions: they field large numbers of cannon-fodder infantry which is best employed to cover for very powerful heavy infantry. They have access to highly specialised units (more on them in a units diary later this week) as well as flying monstrous creatures!
