Type: News

Hello everyone!
Today we are releasing the latest version of War in the West and Operation Torch. It's the first post-Steam release official update and resolves all significant issues reported to us since that time, as well as making some notable improvements to historical balance.

You can find the whole changelog HERE, while you can download the update from our Members' Area or directly from HERE!
A little preview:

  •  New Features and Rule Changes
    - Improved game performance (logistics and map draw).
    - Air base unit will be created once expansion starts. Size 0 air base appears in black color
as size 1. Size 0 air bases should not be visible in air transfer mode (no AC on them).
    - Adjusted ground replacement routine to reduce substitution probability (more so for
    outdated equipment).
  • Bug Fixes
    - When assigning support units to a location, any support units in a HQ that are in the hex
are not available to be assigned. Units in the same hex as the location should be able to be
    assigned to the location. Fixed.
    - Fixed air group display bug on air navigation panel (F10).
    - Ground elements which are not in the TOE or substitution list can get replaced into the
    unit. Fixed.
  • Data and Scenario Changes
    - Aircraft change - 0642 Lancaster B.I Special - add some 4000lb bomb loadouts for earlier
use, limit 12000lb bomb use to 5/44 and later. A few other minor changes.
    - Device change - 0683 NEW: French 75mm CA Mle 1932 AA Gun (moved from 0561)
    - Many changes to scenarios. The most notable of these is the addition of many new frozen
static divisions to the German forces in the campaign games. These divisions will use up
some of the German manpower for training early in the scenarios, and then be activated
    as they were historically.

There you are guys. We hope you enjoy our new update and keep having fun with the game!

Aggressors Dev Diary #9 - Infrastructure

Friday, August 17, 2018

We have already covered most of the main game mechanics and features yet there is still one big question we want to discuss today. How to build up your empire and what to do in time of peace in Aggressors?

It might seem that antiquity was all about wars and conflicts, but people of those times mostly wanted to live in peace and prosperity like anyone else. Emperors might have had great ambitions and pushed the boundaries of their empires still further but at the same time they had to maintain and improve the state infrastructure to keep ahead of other nations.

Battlestar Galactica Deadlock - Dev Diary #9 'Evasive Action'

Monday, August 13, 2018

It’s quieter than you’d think. Even in the middle of the worst furball.

“Open racks and engage.”

No one else does what we do, out here in the quiet. One single pressure lock between life and a violent, cold, improbable death.

“Thrusters nominal. RCS is green. I'm good to go.”

Look at those big motherfrakkers. Debris means nothing to them. That armor could take a hundred salvos of heavy ordnance. Frak, on a bad day they’ll spill their tea after taking a nuke on the chin.

“Turkey right four lower three. I'm committing.”

In our world, one stray slug is all it takes.

“Tin can on my tail, take it down take it down!”

The difference between hearing your name whispered one more time, or never again.

“Krypter, krypter, krypter! I’m winged! Krypter, krypt--“

It is the ultimate Play-by-Email global ww2 scenario. A planet-spanning and wrapping map of 400 hexes wide, hundreds and hundreds of different troop types, officers, research, diplomatic options and special historical cards.

Aggressors Dev Diary #8 - Trade Routes

Friday, August 10, 2018

One of the things which was pretty difficult to implement in Aggressors was the way the game handles resources.

Initially, the number and types of resources were hardcoded in the game's core and the only thing which could be changed (or modded) was the amount required for certain actions.

Field of Glory II Rise of Persia New DLC is coming! Dont miss the Twitch Preview!

"The Assyrian came down like the wolf on the fold, / And his cohorts were gleaming in purple and gold;

And the sheen of their spears was like stars on the sea, / When the blue wave rolls nightly on deep Galilee." – Lord Byron

Ashurbanipal, Nebuchadnezzar II, Cyrus II ... these great kings are now covered with the dust of time, but the empires they created and the wars they fought shaped the Middle East irreversibly.

Here, in the cradle of civilization, the Assyrians ruled with an iron fist, until the Medes and Babylonians rose against them and ended their reign of terror. The Babylonians then repeated the cruelties of the Assyrians, razing the Temple of Jerusalem and deporting the Hebrews to Babylon.
