Commander: The Great War is releasing on iPad next week! In order to get you all a bit in the mood for this brilliant strategy title, we have prepared some wallpapers for your iPad. We are all very excited about the upcoming release as Commander: The Great War will bring a game of unprecedented scale to the App Store!

Developed by The Lordz Games Studio, Commander The Great War is a turn-based strategy game that captures this time of war with unprecedented realism and accuracy. A huge-hex based campaign map that stretches from the USA in the west, Africa and Arabia to the south, Scandinavia to the north and the Urals to the east, is the setting for 5 grand campaigns, each starting in a different year of the war.

Strategic Command Beta AAR: First Moves

Thursday, July 28, 2016

Welcome to the first Beta-AAR of Strategic Command WWII: War in Europe.  This is a mini AAR, and as such, the AAR will only cover the inital shots in Gleiwitz Poland in September of 1939, to the fall of France in mid 1940.   Since the game is still in Beta, there might be some changes of the material covered between now and the final release, but the game already feels complete and the development team assures me that they don’t expect much to change other than minor items to ensure any final polish and balance to the main campaign.

Players familiar with the Strategic Command series will immediately notice the much bigger map. In the north, the passage around Norway to Archangelsk is ready for sub warfare, and in the south, a large part of Africa has been modeled as well.

Tuesday, July 26, 2016

Is there anything that seems more crucial in recent European history than the possibility of Great Britain leaving the European Union?

Probably not, because it’s really too early to say what the likely outcomes are for the near future. Nevertheless, many military observers seem pretty much convinced that this event could make NATO, the main western collective defensive system, weaker and less effective: What if other countries decide to follow the British example and like in a domino effect, the internal cohesion and cooperation of the European nations is diminished as a consequence?

Command LIVE Episode 1 is out!

Tuesday, July 19, 2016

The Command LIVE project has officially taken off. The first release, Old Grudges Never Die, is out on our site and on Steam. You can purchase it here.

We are really proud of this first episode and of the project as a whole. Developers WarfareSim and Bart Gauvin, an experienced designer from the community, have worked hard to bring this project to life and this is only the start. It’s the first time a detailed simulation takes on real life events to create such detailed fictional, but true-to-life scenarios.
