During the Roman Ludi, not only gladiatorial fights or theatrical plays entertained the public, but also the thrilling, fast and dangerous races of the aurigas driving their four-horse chariots: the quadrigas! 

Symbol of Victory and Triumph, and seen as a Godly chariot (Apollo was often represented riding one) on the earthly world, it was the most important chariot adopted in ancient Roman circus racing. Rushing fast inside the Circus Maximus each auriga could not rely only on his horses speed, but also had to use strategy and wit.

Now, with QVADRIGA, players will be able to revive the historical races of Ancient Rome and became the greatest driver of the ancient world!

The game features historically modeled circuses with all their styles and particularities. Variable circuit sizes, lengths and shapes, from the classic Greek oval hippodrome to the standard Roman circuses for a total of 43 unique arenas. Thanks to the dual game system you can play the way you like: paused turn-based gameplay (static) or continuous real time action (dynamic).

Events, trade, upgrades and bonuses; six factions, a huge campaign system with seven regions to travel and an expert AI. QVADRIGA is all this and much more!

Command LIVE News Report! North Pole is turning "hot"!

Command LIVE News Network is always on the run! We are receiving rumours of an increased military activity in the North Pole. The United States is boosting their readiness in the Arctic after getting confirmation of the deployment in the region of the "Belgorod", a Russian Oscar II submarine converted for "special operations" among the Northern Fleet. This is just the latest of a long list of actions aimed to militarise the Arctic, due to the presence of high-valuable resources beneath its surface.

Gettysburg Tournament Starts on July 20th

We are close to releasing an update for Gettysburg: The Tide Turns, which will fix some issues encountered lately. We decided to push back the start date of the Tournament - initially planned to be today - in order to allow us to work on the update before it releases and making the Tournament running on a better version of the game.

Field of Glory 2 Developers Diary - A.I.

The AI for Field of Glory II has been developed by building on the knowledge gained from developing the generally praised AI for Pike and Shot and Sengoku Jidai.
 
Deployment
For non-preset scenarios, it is important that the AI can deploy its army in a sensible formation, taking account of the prevailing terrain.
Generally speaking, most ancient armies would deploy with an infantry centre in one or more lines. (Usually three for Romans, usually only one for Hellenistic armies). They would then have cavalry on both wings and perhaps in reserve, plus light troops both in the centre and on the wings.
