Back to News Listing Ageod takes you to the Spanish Civil War

Posted: Wednesday, September 25, 2013 by Filippo Chianetta

Type: Press Release

In the 1930’s trouble was brewing in Europe. The instability really took hold and in Spain a bloody civil war was about to unfold.

It is 18th of July 1936. The Spanish army has risen in arms against the democratically elected government. Elements of the army together with militias will defend the Republic from this military coup. Outside influences are also at play and the Axis powers will help the Nationalist Rebels, while the USSR will assist the Republicans. A civil war has begun but it is also a proxy war between two super powers. Sons of the same motherland, two factions vie for power. Only one will survive.

Developed by Ageod (www.ageod.co.uk) España 1936 features the well-know AGE game engine with a turn-based WEGO system and covers the complete Spanish Civil War from 1936-1939. The player will find more than 200 regions, complete with cities, roads, weapons factories, weather types, factions and sub-factions. The game includes a tutorial, a Grand Campaign plus the Fall of the North, a host of historical leaders, units and events.

España 1936 is the result of deep and detailed research on the history of Spain and is developed by Spanish developers (read the interview made by Wargamer.com), to provide a strategy game which really focuses on the key issues of this conflict.

The game will be available on the 1st of October on our store.

We have also published a  Photo Gallery. Have a look at it!
