Graphics issues with map?

Help! I'm new to this game, and to this site.
I seem to be having a graphics related issue. I can see the objects on the map fine (units, trees, villages, etc), but the map itself is black, and I can't see the roads or terrain, except trees.

Is this a known issue? I am using Windows 10.

welcome to the forum, have you tried any of these suggestions?

as windows 10 by default disables a few and needs others for some games to be backward compatibly

but yes it's a known issue with affect certain cards it seems in windows 10

but also it does state that it's no higher than windows 7, as there has been more than a few who couldn't get the game to work with windows 8 either, mind 10

First i want to say that it does not state in the productinfo that OB would work with any OS higher than Win 7 ( OB Info ).
Also this problem is known and documented for a while now. We know what needs to be fixed but we currently do not have the manpower to solve it.
