Damn this is a slick game. One thing i do wonder is about experienced units? So say "stripes" or "bars" of experience under the unit. Also, i wonder about units like Marines,SS troopers, Flamethrowers ect...
they would be slick to have also. just wondering

This IS a great game, eh?
Simple to learn, but lots of depth for us "GG Junkies" to sink our teeth into :)
I do believe the AI can't handle new units, this would have to be a thought for GGWaW2, lol! More more more!
Also there's been talk of unit experience, but that's currently un-programmable too. (again so I believe, I'm not a programmer by any means)
If you're a pro, revalry, you could design now Icons for the units :) Like Pz Mk III for early German tanks, & etc.

Question for the big guys; Would it be possible to tap into the +1 modifiers to make it so a unit that destroys 'x' amount of other units gains +1 to evasion or something along those lines? If so, where should I be looking to play with that stuff.

You talking about unit experience there Maginot? It sounds possible since each and every unit has a unique ID# Adding a +1 to some dice rolls isn't Balance-Destroying or anything :)
However, implimenting it is probably a whole different story!

Unit experience is not possible from data files, but very possible for the game system. It's mostly an interface issue. That is, if you want to know who has experience and select them specifically for movement, then we have to either show them seperately on the unit pop-up boxes (making for many more boxes on the screen) or have a two tier select unit process when there are units with differing experience levels. We are considering this for our Civil War game, but have no plans to add it back into WaW.

oh, why not in WAW?? cos i think thats really a nice idea!

while i know the unit scale in WAW is pretty big, but even in this unit scale it will still be more realistic to differentiate rookies from veteran/ elite units.

i also agree that adding a +1 to evasion and/ or attack for veteran units is not balance-destorying at all.
