Will my Matrix games, specifically WaW, UV, PF/Banzai, the mega campaigns
and WItP, run on a computer with Windows XP Media Edition 2005 installed?
I am about to buy a laptop and need to know if I can play my FAVORITE
games on it!

Shouldn't be any problem with that.

Skyking: Do what I did.....take games in and try it on a demo first, if they want to sell it they'll let you do it, if not take your business else where. They surely have a demo unit in house with XP media on it. Good luck.

the Windows XP Media Center is just another version of Windows XP

from the XP Media Center FAQ

Q. Can I use the Media Center PC for my computing needs?
A. Yes. A computer running Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 delivers the full power and functionality of Windows XP. Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 is the best version of Windows for the home. In addition to enjoying the rich digital media and gaming experiences it offers, you can use a Media Center PC to surf the Internet, send and receive e-mail messages or Instant Messaging, run spreadsheets, create documents and presentations, and a lot more.

you probably already know the following, so ignore it if you do.
I am just trying to be helpfull . I recently bought a new laptop and choose a system that should cope with current and future games

if you are looking to play particular games, it is always best to ensure that they will work on the laptop hardware.
most of the current Matrix games are not going to be a problem but GGWaW has a higher requirements in video memory than other Matrix games.

GGWaW System Requirements

What are the system requirements?:

- Windows 2000, XP
- Direct X 9c
- Video: 1024x768 or higher, 32 Mb Video RAM (128 Mb Recommended)
- CPU: 800 MHz Processor (2 GHz Recommended)
- Memory: 512 Mb RAM (1 Gb Recommended)
- 8 x CD-ROM
- 500 MB free Hard Drive Space
- 16 bit Direct Sound compatible Soundcard

I have Pacific Fighers and the "System Requirements" list on the box is quite specific on the graphics chipsets supported. it would be best to vist the Pacific Fighters website for the latest chipsets info.
