This thread will be the for the first game in a tournament between Mike McMann, sveint, aletoledo and myself. The tournament is four games long so we each can play each of the major powers. Each player gets +1 point for each resource he owns at the end of the game over his initial starting resource count, -1 for each resource less, and 5 bonus points for being on the winning side. The player with the most points at the end of the tournament will be "King of the Titans", with all the bragging rights that intails.

Let the games begin!

The Imperial Japanese Army, IJA, and the Imperial Japanese Navy, IJN, have begun their pasification of the Chinese hords. In a lighting strike they "liberated" land on the coast of China and modernized the resourse gathering operations there. These operations will continue until the Chinese are no longer a threat to world peace.

PS No screen shots were cleared by the army intelligence sensors for posting.

PPS Hey sveint, where's your report?

World at war? we have been at peace for some time now and our peace agreement with germany is holding strong!

some of our front line troops have become nervous though by the buildup of troops in prussia. this could only mean one thing, a surprise attack! troop strength is nowhere near capable of penetrating our lines, but a buildup in prussia can only mean one of two things: a german push towards leningrad or a strike against belorussia in order to surround our front line.

Therefore comrade Stalin has ordered our factories and scientists to start a slow buildup in tanks and artillery. he's sure of supplies from the west, so we'll eat the americans corn and leave our factories for war production.

our chinese comrades report a significant japanese air force on the coast of their recently lost province. The ir premier deemed in necessary to evacuate Liuchow in the face of the impending bombing raid. no use for senseless lose of life.

Nonsense! Russia and Germany are friends... why would we attack someone prodiving us with resources?

German first turn was standard: took France,Denmark,Yugoslavia. More details will follow as the war progresses.

Well, Russia and Germany may have a non-aggression pact, but the British do not!!

We have chosen to liberate our Danish friends from the oppressive regime of the Nazi invaders (cheese in payment, of course)

The British Expeditionary force has chosen to leave dunkirk and head to the Danish lands instead of back to England!

The Royal Navy was exceptional in its protection and execution of the landings. Artillery was spotted and destroyed by naval air power and a few lancasters went in to soften up the German infantry. The landing forces took minor casualites and were then later reinforced massively to ensure a permanent beachhead. The Danish crown has been re-established and the Royal Navy has locked the German fleet in the Baltic.

All in all a rounding success for the British government and the free people of the world! HURRAHH!

What a glorious summer!

The British Empire uses all her resources to seize puny little Denmark. We take the opportunity to take Malta and Gibraltar, the Mediterranean is now Roman again! Several units are also destroyed.

Our illustrious general Zhukov was sent to the Leningrad Military District after front line troops identified concentrations of tanks on the prussian border.

meanwhile our chinese comrades have celebrated the repulsing of a great air assault against their province of Changsha. They'll think twice before repeating this!

congratulations goes out to the danish military who with the assistance of the british have thrown back hitlers naked aggression.

Fall 40

German fleet sunk, Italian fleet hurt. Counter-attack by air and submarine sinks several ships and wipes out the remains of the RAF. Is the nibbling of the British annoying the Germans or are they trying too hard and weakening themselves?

Fall 1940

Still more rightous pounding for the Chinese hiding in the hills. They are putting up more of a defence than first estimates would have lead us to believe (the officer in error has taken honours way out for his shame), but we feel that their resolve is starting to weaken. Another year of this and all will be good.

No interesting pics even to sensor.

FROM: British High Command

TO: "Still" Free People of the World

The goal of the Denmark gambit was successful. The Royal Navy steamed into the Baltic and annihilated the entire German fleet! hurrrrrrahhhh!! (minus a weak light fleet). Then, due to pressures from home and duties elsewhere, the British Expeditionary force decided to leave Denmark and head for Africa, where it liberated pieces of if from the Vichy traitors! Hurrrrrahhh!!!!

In other news, the courageous Royal Navy stationed in Egypt under Admiral Lord Hugh J. Balz, sallied out and smashed into the Italian fleet. Though outnumbered by a heavy and light fleet, the Admiral succeeded in sinking and damaging more than he recieved. After the successful sortie, the Admiral retired to Cairo for some tea...

Finally, with a season of rough weather and some nagging "rudder" issues, most of the RAF has chosen to go into maintenance for a short period.

that is all

Later!

Mike

I say Winston, good show! Those nasty (pronounced "nawstee") little bugger germans are on the ropes! Excellent work! There may be a Knighthood in your future!

Sincerely;

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The conflicts were minimal during the fall. Preparations are being made for the winter season and stockpiles are being created for spring offensives.

The Italians are being routed from the British colonies in Africa and Danish partisans are back to work!

Admiral Hugh J. Balz sallied forth in his command battlecruiser on a scouting foray into the central med getting valuable intelligence for the Royal Navy. We are sad to report that through this spectacular achievement, his vessel was torpedoed several times and now rests on the bottom of the Med. Three cheers for Admiral Balz! hipp hipp horray!

The Royal Navy began increased production of destroyers today to counter in future threat of U-boats. The Vice-Admiral of armaments was quoted today saying "Those blimey krauts will be back to using sail boats after we are through with them!"

The ministry of the RAF was quiet today as hurried repairs were being done to air groups 1, 12, 14, 16, 22, 25.....well...actually...every air group.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We have occupied a large section of Africa and are stockpiling for the upcoming winter offensive. Should be ugly for them, pretty for us....!

Later all!

Mike

Winter 1941
In a bid to entice Chinese cave dwellers out from their damp crowded holes, we spent this season building aircraft of superior quality and await the spring. However, since the season opened this month for Chinese trains, some of our more adventurous bomber pilots went hunting and bagged themselves a big one! Unfortunately, it could not be retireved for mounting in the pilot ward room. Maybe next season.

with nothing happening in china, the men get a much needed break. the rumors of them having to march all day due to train service being interrupted is greatly exaggerated. we maintain continuous alternate forms of transportation to the front lines.

The soviets are poised for next seasons attack. the buildup on the border by both sides appears complete.

The continuing pressure of the Allied forces in Africa pulls the vast majority of the German forces to the Mediterranean! How long can the Third Reich withstand the pressure of the mighty British naval and land forces?

Leningrad falls!

Celebrations are held in the Alexandrevsky Palace.

In the West submarines and dive bombers go on the offensive and sinks a few ships and yet again wipes the RAF from their airfields.

spring has arrived in Japan
time to kill Chinese
(ancient Japanese war haiku)

After a visit to Germany, to celebrate them being offensive.. er... their new offensive, our glourious leader was enraged to find "Made In China" stamped on all his souveniers. To make him feel better, the air force desided to target Chinese trinket factories this season. Oh and train season is still open, too.

Picture burning factories and trains... that's all your going to get this season.

Leningrad has fallen! The shame! Stalin has decreeded to rename the city Boris'grad to lessen the the german victory. Boris has been reported as being despaired at the lose of his namesake city and then he returned to his position on the factory floor. :(

on a positive note, german tanks appear to be lagging behind in the arms race.

The spring was quiet for the British Empire. Plans are being drawn up and supplies laid away for a major Winter offensive. Photos are not available due to the sensitive nature of the operation. The only comment the Crown made was "...Lets just say that a Northern European Monarchy will be back in power come winter's end!"

That comment came after hearing of the continued success of the British Africa Corp's march across the North African fertile plains. British munitions and plane manufacturing companies received new contracts to ramp up production of the new high speed, powerful Spitfire model fighter for this upcoming invasion.

In other news; supplies continue to flow into Russia through "secret" ports across the Russia frontier. These badly needed supplies will help the Soviet Union crush the German invading armies and hurl them back into Germany!

Summer 41

Offensive in the East continues but supplies are a problem. In the West we continue to bombard and sink Allied tranports. The RAF is now extinct.

Research on new super-weapons continues.

Summer in China... hot, smelly, unfriendly.... and that's just the locals! Switching focus again to keep the enemy off guard, as well as our allies, we killed mobs of Chinese soldiers this season and another AA gun. Unfortunately this was accomplished by our crack Kamakazi squadrons.. The commanding officer in charge of this offensive has been order to retieve the planes that were lost, by himself, on foot, with a bamboo stick for a protection. Also since the USA stopped giving us handouts, we took Siam. That'll show them who's boss.

No pics 'cause it's too ugly for that.

In other news, the German ambassador in Tokyo has died suddenly. He apparently fell on his Japanese appointed body guard's sword while laying in his bed, severing his head cleanly from his neck.
