Does anyone know how you change the graphic a particular weapon displays when it fires?
for example...In H2H, AT rifles have same graphic as say an AT gun, where as in SPWAW 8.3 they use the same graphic as machine guns..

My guess is to use the SPWAW-Editor to change the weapon's OOB files. It is either done by warhead, weapon class or the such. This is not my forte so you would have to explore a bit.

You can't edit OOB and play other people.

Don't know if the graphics for firing are easy to edit.

You'd have to reclass the weapon for different graphics. This is hardcoded.

IIRC it has been discussed in depth over at the Depot forum. Can´t recall what particular it was, but had to do with OOBs. (V8.3 discussion, or Depot OOB project)

In some cases I have done this simply by taking the weapon graphic I want, loading it as is into the scenario editor, clicking on "D" and then changing the weapon characteristics. As KG mentions, some of this stuff is hardcoded, but still you can really come up with some neat variants. Its worked well for me in many scenarios where I wanted a weapon a little different from what it was.

SOrry, I was not clear, Alby. You can load the weapon with the graphic that you, then modify the weapon to suit your need. For example, I'll take a bazooka team and remake it into an RCL team, using the rcl weapon, etc.

The same would be true with MG units or any armored unit you might want to "make your own."

All you need to do is change the warhead size to 2.

Don't forget to do this for every ATR in every nation.

Im Thinking this must be hard coded. Both the Lahti and The Boys AT rifles are warhead size one, When the Lahti fires, it looks just like when a MG firess, where as the Boys looks more like "One Shot" if you get my meaning.
Just another of those little things.....no biggy
