I want to download GoT but I needed to know the size of the down load to see if I can down load it overnight at home on my 56k dialup connection (I know its tooo sloooow)or at work over the network:). Thanks

The official download info is:

File/Download Stats: 401 MB = 15h 28m @ 56k
1h 21m on 640kbps DSL, Satellite or Cable
34m on 1.5mbps DSL or Cable

So, the bad news it's a 16 hour download for your modem

and from 30 minutes to an hour and half at work.

How liberal are your employers about personal use of company internet?

Hi,

We recommend (and support) the use of resumable download managers for customers on slow connections. With our other games, including those larger in size than Gates of Troy, many 56k customers have had excellent results with the software at www.stardownloader.com. I wouldn't recommend download large files over a 56k line without it.

Another option, if you can wait another week or so, is to order the boxed version. As soon as production of the initial "game on demand" stocks is complete, a physicial shipment willbe available for an additional $10, which includes a professionally printed full color DVD box and CD.
