I could not find any official or fansite or even a forum for it.
Is there anyone still playing this game? Is there a community forum for it somewhere?

Its very in depth but there is a great game underneath.

If you search this forum you will find a post which has a website link.

I think it may be in the WiTP forum.

Main aim is the Game released after BoB - Bombing the Reich - but they are planning some mods for BoB as well .

Status: offline 		There is also a very small german forum on www.luftschlacht.de for BOB and BTR, but 2ndACR is right: The only large and active forum is the one Denniss named you.

I also don't like the necessity to create an account to read the forum, but JC, the founder, wants it that way
I don't visit the forum anymore because I always forget my password... I think it's very uncomfortable the way it is, and he would have much more (and new) visitors if he would allow to read it without registration.

Status: offline 		I didnt realise that Africa,Russia and Italy were areas within BTR. But judging by the posts on the first forum mentioned they must be.

Status: offline 		They are, but only Italy is important as it is still german occupied when the campaign starts, as well es Sardinia and Corsica and the whole Balcans including Creta and Rhodos. Parts of the Luftwaffe are active there and the italian, hungarian and romanian airforces.
In Africa are only allied airfields of minor importance because Sicily is closer to the theater and the italian airfields can be used soon after the start.
There are some airfields in Russia, showing up in '44, but they can only be used to fly shuttle missions, especially against the romanian oil fields.

So the map of BTR is really large... even if big parts in the SW and NE of it never see a plane flying by.

As the Allied air commander, your conduct of the bombing campaign can affect how well the ground war goes as well. You can direct bombing against German industrial sites and/or allocate bombers to hit German troop formations, roads, rails, etc. . .

As the German player, you can tweak aircraft production; move AA assets; research ME-262s, etc. . .

If WITP intimidates you in any way or the production model in WITP intimidates you, DO NOT play the Germans.

That said, I have both and love them. Nothing better than to spend the time frog marching 'ol Willie Meshersmit out back and
taking care of business so he will build those lovely FW190 and MC-205 in his factories.

Of course always was partial to the G55.

you took a one size engine factory, switch it to jetengine and go out. Then go in in the AA-Thread, click and click undo... now all factories produce 255 parts of each...
so i managed to have 50000 DO335 and 20000 Me 262 in autum 43 :)
really fun..

no, the game was great, even if i had loved an improved allied production system. (in bob it sucked cause the germans had for example lots of fw190 but couldn´t used em... or the brits, just had to wait if the ai upgrade from hurricane to spit or not... oh wait, i think this is well known in witp

Status: offline 		I love BoB. If anyone wants to play PBEM, I'm in!!! I really enjoy playing England as it is hell vs a PBEM opponent. Vs the AI, even on my first try I whipped it's ass.

I really want a copy of BTR too. Where can this be obtained these days?

Status: offline 		I picked my BTR up on e-bay. Search under 12 ' o'clock high as well. BTW I have the 1.05 patch and the 1.06x5 patch if anyone needs it (can be hard to find). just e-mail me. The guy who done the OOB for 1.06x5 seems to have gone missing so Use 1.06x5 with the 1.05 OOB it gives a much more realistic game.
