After noticing the Block Island (slot 3107) had no airgroup assigned, I did a little research and found: Block Island carried a Marine air group: VMF-511 with 12 F4U dayfighters and 10 F6F5N night fighters VMTB-233 with 12 TBF The intent was to have Marine Aircraft available to support Marine Landings. http://www.ussblockisland.org/cve-106.htm Both VMF-511 and VMTB-233 are already in the OOB for Scenario 15 - as land based units. Also note that VMTB-233 is a duplicate as VMSB-233 is also in the OOB - it's the same squadron, just redesignated. Therefore, I would recommend that VMF-511 and VMTB-233 be moved to the carrier qualified section and placed aboard Block Island. In addition, VMF-511 might spawn a (fictitous) VMF-511N to accomodate the night fighting Hellcats. ALso, the Marines created a special designation for Marine squadrons based on escort carriers and I BELIEVE these two squadrons should be VMF(CVS)-511 and VMTB(CVS)-233. Don
