Shortly after the release of version 8.0, I realized that even though I thought I had checked many of the scenarios to be sure that they were compatible with that version. Some, quite a few, in fact, had slipped through.

I began to revise again, but realized it was more than I could handle. I enlisted the help of Mr. Federico Doveri, Italian Cohort also known as 'Resisti."

This young man took it seriously and took the task to a new level. With many other things going on in my life, Resisti nevertheless gave this project so many hours of work that I was dumbfounded.

As it turns out, he is really the author of this magnificent piece of work. In addition to checking and fixing scenarios, he wrote all the authors he could to get their help. Those that could not or did not reply meant more work for him. In fact nearly 350 scenarios of work!

But in addition to all this, he standarized ALL the text and CMT files to one format. That job alone required dozens of hours. All of this he did willingly, with an iron will. He made it happen.

So very soon you will have all of those scenarios totally updated, all with the same standard intro file. Its a piece of work that is beautifully done.

I stand at attention and salute this great gamer, Mr. Federico Doveri.

In a few weeks you will have them. Would you join me in this salute?

Wild Bill

Count me in on this salute as well! I know the amount of work involved in editing, and that Resisti took on this job, as a favor to Bill, but also as a favor to the SP:WaW community as a whole, is deserving of more than just a simple "thank you".

Resisti, if we ever meet, the beer is on me. :)

The Kunel is always too kind with me :)

It has been quite a huge work, indeed, a very boring one, sometimes. But I think I acheived a decent result.
I have prepared a "read me" doc, to explain in detail what I'd done, and within which limitations, and thought to post it at the moment the whole patch was out, but the Wild One beated me on this, so when I' ll be back home tonight, I'll post it here.
There will be another goodie that I prepared for you all, stay tuned :)

Thanks to all who wanted to jump in here and post.

BERNIE: if you can afford the fly ticket price for me to the States, the beer is on ME, lol

MOGAMI: don't trust in what the online translators tell you ;) "You are the man" has not a precise "counterpart" in Italian; surely not the one you posted :) But thanks for trying!

Yep a salute to ya.

It is always great when our heroes in the gaming world recognise our efforts.

Bill has given me many kind comments. It is often all we wish.

Fede, you're a good man, and you do indeed deserve recognition for your positive contributions and hard work. I'm proud to know you.

Thanks all, again.

As I said above, you can now check the "sticky" thread called Spwaw 8.2: scenarios fixing" to know in detail what has been done, and to receive the extra tool I prepared.
