(The search function isn't cooperating with me today, it seems.)

So far I've been running a 3.2 Rising Sun campaign: Obc_a, Japanese computer. (Yeah it's not AI enhanced, but this is my first full campaign. :D ) I'm up to late September 1942, and some odd things have happened:
• CBI Command showed up in Calcutta of all places, though Stillwell's reinforcements keep showing up in Kunming. I moved his HQ to Lashio as I can't reset Kunming away from KMT control.
• 14th Army has yet to show up. I already have Slim, shouldn't his command be here by now?
• Despite being nearly six months after their expiration date, the rescued HQs of Asiatic Fleet and ABDA are still sitting in the darkest corners of Australia I exiled them to.
• The Japanese 17th Army is still based out of Haiphong and did nothing to conquer the eastern half of New Guinea. As a result, MacArthur ran pell-mell across the island. I have major airbases at Lae and Milne Bay, and I am now working on building up Wewak and holding Hollandia.
• Akyab, despite being listed as a port, is inaccessable from the sea. This is a rather difficult situation as this is where the SEAC-Japanese frontline currently exists.

1. CBI should indeed show up in Kunming. KMT bases are fixed by design and cannot be changed to other HQs in the game, but you can use the Excel-based database editor (available at Rich's Pacific War Page to change Kunming to CBI. Note that the Flying Tigers in PacWar start the war at Kunming, while IRL they were training in central Burma at that time.

2. 14th Army will show up in the first half of 1943 IIRC, but I don't know when it was activated historically... British Army isn't my strength.

3. HQs do not resolve themselves in PacWar, even if they did IRL. If you want to get rid off Asiatic Fleet and ABDA, leave them at a base that will be captured by the Japanese (after relieving the COs). But since HQs attract supply and fuel deliveries by routine convoys, ABDA and Asiatic Fleet are useful as additional supply centers behind the front.

4. The inability of the AI to capture/garrison PNG properly is a well-known and long-standing problem in PacWar. The only solution is PBEM.

5. Akyab port is 'blocked' by the island to the west and thus considered a land 'hex', not a coastal one. Use the editor to move the location of Akyab to 20/9 (right on the island).
