New Mud Scalar Rules

Post by Zovs »

Reading the Whatsnew 4.1 its about as clear as mud of what these rules do.

So my question is to Bob and if he can shed some more details on this rule.

Trying to decipher the New Mud Scalar rules is not even in the default manual but it has a little blurb in this document. But it's very vague about the mud drying rates but 100 is neutral.

Neutral to what?

The write-up states:
A minimum value of 1 divides the default drying by 100. A maximum value of 10000 multiplies the default drying by 100

So does 1 mean it dried really fast or slow?
And vise-versa with 1000, does that mean slow or fast in relation to things?

I'd like to use some of the new rules but at times the write ups are not very clear, at least to my aging mind.

Thanks in advance.

Good question. That could be interpreted either way.

change the scalar to 10000. This is a factor of x100. So mud dries out much faster.
set the scalar to 1. This divides by 100 (x 0.01). mud dries out very slowly.

Note that temperature also has an effect. We can reword the above so that it can be added to the manual we are working on [:)]
