Bug with United States MPP's???

Post by FearlessLeader »

I'm playing the Allies for the first time against the computer.

I had lots of MPP's for the United States for the first year.

But now I'm getting Zero MPP's each month. It's been 6 months of Zero MPP's.

Is this a bug? Or is this designed behavior?

I have returned all my forces to the United States thinking it might be the Isolationists hijacking my money. But I'm still getting Zero MPP's.

I also waited for a bunch of my research to be completed (thinking maybe I over spent there and research was tieing up my MPP's) but I'm still getting Zero MPP's with very little research going on.

Is the US supposed to have Zero MPP's until they join the war?
Or is this a Bug and I should scrap the game and start over?

Thanks for any insights.

Hi Hubert :)

Thanks... for responding by email.

I agree, it's probably too many units in Hawaii causing Isolationists to bring mobilization down to zero. (Seems like a bug to me, to have that drastic of an outcome.)

And yes, a clear 'in game' message that this is the case would be fantastic.

However, I was given the choice to place two air units in Hawaii, so I did that (thinking Hawaii was part of the US).

But once they were placed there, I'm not sure how to get them back to the mainland.

As a matter of fact, I don't know how to get any air units across large bodies of water.

Is there a way to transport them?

Or is there a way to have extended flight to friendly territory?

Thanks for any info or user guide references on this!

To move air units long distances, push the same button you use to move land units by rail. It costs you some MPPs but you can then move them as far as you want, from one theater to another.

Hi

The effect of having 3 or more units in Hawaii is cumulative, so having them there for one turn wouldn't have a massive impact on US mobilization, 3-5% per turn, so only keeping the units there long term would.

Right clicking on an air unit to operate it will enable you to move it a long distance for a cost in MPPs.

While playing I would recommend having a look at the campaign's Strategy Guide, as it gives information on this and much else. It can be accessed from the top right of the screen while playing, as although there is a message in game about this, the Strategy Guide can be referred to at any time.
