Dumb Ways to Die: Thread to confess your worst clicks

Most threads are about the game doesn't do this, or doesn't do that. How about a thread about the YouTube song, "Dumb Ways to Die", how you the human player screwed something up.

Here's 3 of my most terrible clicks:

#1 Was actually a non-click. While playing Japs, I invading the usual Islands, popped Pearl Harbor, or whatever. I had forgot to DOW on Philippines and land my troops before ending turn. Lost 2 of those landing craft Special Forces and one crawled to a 4-turn battle in the Northern Port.

#2 Declared war on Finland as Axis by accident! Was trying to DOW on Latavia or whatever that country is. The flags were overlapping. Got in a hurry, didn't pay enough attention. Finns joined the Allies :)

#3 Got lazy while evacuating France. Lord Gort was in Brest, on his way home to take over the RAF. Had plenty of ships to escort him home the 4 or 5 hexes. Got lazy, didn't check with Royal Navy, had at least half dozen ships to sail from England to Brest. Bam! 2-hexes outside has U-boat, bye-bye Lord Gort. That's a huge, huge setback dying at Sea. 400 MMPs flushed in early game.

Most of my worst clicks have happened using the control key to pick my exact path using naval cruise for amphibious assault ships. Fumble the button and hit shift instead, and you just used naval cruise to move 2 hexes or something with a critical unit. And since you were in cruise mode, you can't use the rest of your movement, and probably just delayed your invasion a full turn. Then, of course, your invasion force gets discovered by the u boats while it is milling around waiting for the straggler.
There are no do-overs in naval movement, making it ripe for click-regrets.

Oh man I do the naval cruise mode for two hexes thing way too often.

I am also prone to mis-reading the terrain in China, moving my armies one hex and getting them stuck in rather inconvenient locations.

I like this thread, it mostly not the computer that is the issue when failure happens in a game, but just human error on the player, Bravo Elvis [;)]

Embarking a unit in a long range amphibious transport, move the one hex you're allowed and suddenly is on the ground again because you moved it to a coastal ground hex instead of a sea hex. Boy you do feel stupid...[:D][:D][:D]

Reading a 6:0 as an 0:6, and cackling with glee about how your medium bombers are going to utterly smash that carrier.....

Given order to a fighter to scout the front line in North Africa, but forgot the shift key, and my fighter land just next ennemy units.

The worse thing I have done was to load a unit on a long range amphibious AV, only to accidently click on an adjacent land hex to disembark it on the same turn! That's a huge waste of MPPs not to mention a whole turn lost while having to wait for the next turn to reembark it.

I just realized this was already mentioned in post # 4...
