Turn 21. Jan/Feb 1943. Axis #7.

Euro-Axis. The Eastern Front. Southern Russia. Though snow is falling and covering the ground, Manstein pushes his armor through the passes of the Caucuses. German armor exploiting through these passes are disorganized by the terrain and weather conditions; however, General Manstein reorganizes these units.

No question about it, the Soviet units in Georgia are at risk of entrapment and eventual annihilation.

On a political note, Turkey is showing a lot of interest in joining the war on the German's side.

The decision to go on defensive in southern China makes sense. I do not like giving up Chinkiang though. The key thing about that is that giving it up lets the Chinese supply troops for a push into central China. Not that the Chinese are going to attack, but they can certainly infiltrate up that way, and the Japanese will have to find troops to defend that area. This negates the advantage of going on the defensive. (Which troops should the Chinese send? That is what cavalry was invented for. Particularly cavalry divisions.)

I agree. But also for another reason. You've just given the Chinese an entire mountain hex for free. Mountains are the among best defensive positions you can get in MWIF...

Turn 21. Jan/Feb 1943. Allied #10.

Actions. USA - land, Great Britain - land, Free France - combine, China - land, USSR - land.

East Africa. A bit of intrigue going on here. Or in the parlance of military speak, "Low intensity conflict".

Northern China (communist Chinese). More intrigue going on here and not by the communist. Check out the nationalist 2nd cavalry corps northeast of Anking. Looks like he's trying to get behind the Japanese lines and create some mischief.

End of Turn. Turn continues, barely. But, continuing by an "inch" is as good as continuing by a "mile".
