Combat Animation Question

Post by alesha93 »

I am beginning a new PBEM full campaign game with a long-standing opponent. He would like to shut off the combat animations and I would like to keep them. I can't figure out how to accommodate both desires in WITP.

Any ideas as to whether it is possible and, if so, how?

When I tell people I play wargames, they think I do shoot 'em ups. I don't. Combat animations are for sissies. Stop it.

I'm pretty sure it can be done, but don't know how. Sorry. I'd wait for one with more experience in the PBEM zone. I'm sure someone out there knows how to do it.

Edit:You'll have to excuse the gorn. He get a little testy if he hasn't eaten yet.[:D]

Just ask him to hit the escape key for each one and it will go to the results.

He can also load up the save without loading up the 001 turn if he's playing the Allies. He'll still get the combat report, but the operations and sigint report won't generate. Best bet is to have him press escape or use spacebar when running through the combat animations to speed up the replay.

Pretty sure this can initiate the 'sync bug'.
