Hello,

For Cold War Scenarios as well as others...
Would anyone like to suggest 'tattletale' or 'shadowing' missions. Soviet Trawlers and I believe mod-Kashins did this routinely. And that would be useful for submarines too.
And you could set up priorities. If you wanted a carrier group to be shadowed as opposed to a fleet of merchantmen.

Would anyone else be interested... if so I will add it.

Chicken Kiev in Silent Service is one of these. It's a good challenge.

I think its a good idea. Perhaps a derivative of a Patrol mission.

At one point - I think - you could set RPs to be relative to a contact. So you could make a patrol mission that would follow the contact. That, doesn't work, just checked, so maybe it never did or it changed along the way. Therefore it would have to be tagged to a detected contact and not RPs so perhaps Patrol would not be the way.

Wait, relative RPs don't work anymore? That's big, it's the only wait to make some critical stuff like patrol areas for ships and carrier strike groups, you should probably report it in tech support.

Normal relative RPs are working. You can't make RPs relative to contacts though as they don't usually have a fixed location.

You don't need a new mission to do that, you just set up a "ASuW" patrol mission with and the posture of the side to "Unfriendly," and it will shadow them. Then... when things turn hostile, BOOM!

A way of performing target prioritization would be nice, not just for that sort of thing but also for air, where I'd often prefer to target bombers, strike and attack aircraft over fighters. I can sometimes sort of move the needle in that direction though using WRA.
