At 9000m to 12000m you can see the jet stream, which does have some influence on the hurricane.

Being Eurotrash I was perplexed by why there was a discussion on the Italian city on the AE forums.

Keep your heads down over there!

Florence is an important city in South Carolina, close to where the hurricane will make landfall. Florence is also an important city in Alabama. What's this about Italy?

Just the center or one of the centers of Renaissance, probably the city in world with more Art:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Florence

----
Florence was surveyed for the Cypress Land Company in 1818 by Italian surveyor Ferdinand Sannoner, who named it after Florence, the capital of the Tuscany region of Italy.[5] Florence, Alabama was incorporated in 1826.[6]

Possibly Florence in South Carolina as well

Who could possibly have more art than Alabama???

On the map, I did notice that all of the tracers were zeroing in on the Florence. Could she be shot down before she strikes? What kind of bomber is she, anyway?

Maybe, it could from many places in Europe, there are Lisbon, St.Petersbourg etc..

It could be even a Roman Dictator(somewhat another meaning in Roman times).

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucius_Quinctius_Cincinnatus

which gave name to the city of Cincinatti.
