Hi , on turn one in torch to tunisia scenario I tried a training mission for my saetta planes 16th fighter bomber group.
As a result now I have 15 planes damaged of 20 used. It seems a little too harsh. Does it WAD?
thanks

It is the way it was designed AFAIK. Rest the group and the planes will repair fairly quickly. Don't run training next turn since you need to wait for the fatigue to drop, otherwise you will lose a lot of planes. Ideally the way you should go about this is this:

Turn 1: set the air group to training.
Turn 2: set it to rest so the planes repair and the fatigue drops.
Turn 3 or 4: set the air group to training again.
Rinse and repeat.

From my tests putting air groups in training does very little if one is to consider that the air group is running training exercises the whole week and won't be available for action next week too. And it is much more effective if you do it for air groups with low experience (many pilots under 50 exp).

ok thanks for advice xhoel, I'll give it a try.
anyway I wonder if can even make sense to put pilots in training, so many pilot and plane losses for what appears a minimal gain in experience.

It really depends on the situation. I tried it in the beginning but the results are pretty mediocre so now I only train my worst fighter groups once in a while. Try and see how it goes for you. It's not a reliable system though, I'll tell you that.
Oh and before I forget don't run training on bad weather, it is a disaster.
