When a unit has had an HQ change, is destroyed and then subsequently brought back with PP's, to what HQ will it be assigned? The old restricted HQ, or the one it was destroyed under?

HQ change is permanent for the game. Even if it was not, unit to buy back is so small that another HQ change would cost peanuts

Edit: nope, I was wrong, HQ of revived units is predetermined

You could be right, I've no idea, but Mike Solli seems to have answered it in this link.

I didn't think I'd find an answer under search, sorry guys. At any rate might be worth it to some on the nubbie's here.

And yes the PP's to reassign the HQ of a newly brought back unit would be peanuts.

Here's from another post. Check what Pax (post #12) says about the cost to Japan to rebuild such units. Should give pause to buying too many back.

That maybe true in stock, but definitely not in mods. It is a devastating blow to Japan in PP and supply and pool costs.

Destroyed Allied units that are bought back with PPs get assigned to particular commands depending on their nationality that has NOTHING to do with the command they were assigned to before being destroyed.

Aww, I checked it out and yes, I stand corrected. Sorry for misinformation. Yet anothing thing to learn about this game

PP costs for buying out are determined by the scenario, and this can be the blow. But PPs to change the command depend on devices loadout as far as I know, and this cost is rather small for most of destroyed units since they come empty with 1 squad or such
