OT: Looking for info on SEAL accused of murder...

This August story in 2016 is the last public story on the case. The murder happened in June of 2016.

I've tried all sorts of Google searches and nothing. Now why would this case seemingly disappear from society?

I'm going to go with: it's probably still ongoing and if you really want to know about it, how about you file a FOIA request in the relevant jurisdiction? Just because you can't find anything online doesn't mean something is being hidden from you by implied nefarious actors.

Iam on CQ duty - at daybreak on a Sunday, Sgt. Benavides comes walking up to the door of the barracks after a night in Panama City. I notice he has a fair amount blood on his shirt and pants (civilian clothes) and I ask him "Are you O.K.?"

He looks surprised, after a quick look over of himself he says "It's not my blood...I don't know whose it is. I don't remember."


I may as well say it, there was a STRONG odor of alcohol in the air.
