Unloading mines already loaded on a minelayer

Post by spence »

It seems that random minelayers randomly load a few mines every once in a while.

Just for S&G it would be nice if one could load a specific minelayer to capacity for a specific mission. Possible??? Perhaps I missed this somewhere in the rules.

Set the specific mine type to Stockpile. Then it won't load that mine type onto any minelayers. Reset to not stockpile, and load on a minelayer.

Wrong, apbarog, if you don't want your minelayers loading mines willy nilly, keep them at sea until a typhoon comes along and sinks them. Problem solved.

If you can put your Minelayer in a TF that has a mission other than minelaying, it should unload its mines which would then be available for the ships you do want to load up. There could be a time delay for the mines to return to pool.

Not that I've seen.

Best method that I'm aware of to control loading of mines.

No, that works only for ships that have mine-laying as an option not for CM's or Cmc's.
