Briefing
1922 Greco-Turkish War
1. Background
This scenario simulates the 1920-1922 Greco-Turkish war following the end of World War I and the treaty of Sevres (1920). It attempts to simulate the last Greek offensive and Turkish counter-offensive in last year of the war (1921-1922). The scenario time scale was been condensed to avoid long periods of inactivity between the Battle of Sakarya in September 1921, which effectively ended the Greek offensive and the beginning of the Turkish counteroffensive in the summer of 1922. (The detailed history of the war can be found on several on-line sources and excellent books such as Paris 1919 and A Peace to End All Peace).
2. Colors
White on Blue: Greek in Asia Minor
Blue on Blue: Greek Units in Thrace
White on Red: Turkey (Nationalist Army)
Yellow on Red: Ottoman Army
Red on Blue: French
White on Brown: British
Red on Green: Italian Expeditionary Force
Blue on Green: Italian Dodecanese Garrison
3. Significant events
The scenario starts with the Greek Army being strong and well supplied and the Turkish Army suffering from shock. This gradually changes as Greek supplies diminish and the Turkish Army recovers from the initial shock. The main Greek objective is Ankara and the destruction of the Turkish forces.
If the Greeks occupy Afyon and Eskisehir a supply depot is placed on those cities and their supply increased. The Greeks get a Victory point bonus by occupying Bursa. The Turks get a Victory point bonus by destroying the Greek population unit of Smyrna.
The Italian Expeditionary force will withdraw from Anatolia and this will increase the Turkish supplies.
If Turkey attacks the outskirts of Izmit the British may enter the war on the Greek side. If the British enter the war the French join the Turks.
The Greeks get an option to attack Constantinople. This activates several Greek units in Thrace but may anger the Allies costing the Greeks a significant victory point cost and the withdrawl of the British Exp. Force.
If the Greeks occupy Ankara there is a small probability game may end with Greek victory.
If the Turks occupy Smyrna there is a small probability game may end with Turkish victory.

There is no supply source for Italian forces. Is this intended set?

There's Italian forces in this scenario? I didn't know that. Use one
of the other authorized scenarios instead I guess.

Italian forces are stationing in the southern part of Asia Minor and Aegean islands. They are not supplied.

These are the forces that occupied Rhodes and the Dodecanese after Italy won the Italo-Turkish War in 1912. There should be at least a supply point representing the supplies coming from the motherland.

I hope that the scenario will be fixed before the next patch - because this is an interesting war.
