Assigning city AAA units to your armies

Big surprise - one regiment of AAA cost me most of my AP for a turn. Don't do it.

It would be nice if this sort of thing was documented. This happened on a mud turn so it wasn't game-critical, but if it was a clear weather turn the sudden disappearance of 35 AP for an idle click might break your game.

Hello

Look at page 75 of the game manual

Chapter 7.4.1 Antiaircraft Support units in Cities.

Hope this helps...

I don't disband them, I unassign them from the city when the enemy is at the gates...if you judge it correctly it only costs 1 Admin point...if not 20?....WiTE equivalent of Russian Roulette. [:)]

Historically these units were in fixed positions and lacked transport so if they are to be evacuated not too many should get away.
Molotov : This we did not deserve.

Foch : This is not peace. This is a 20 year armistice.

Yeah, lesson learned. I hope they help in the defense of the city. I know there are some Advanced Squad Leader scenarios where those flak tower guns play a role in street fighting.
