For the first time I am trying to bottom out what the various reports and logs say rather than just going by intuition on manpower levels. So far I have never been able to make them match, or understand them from old posts about them, so I was hoping someone could answer a series of questions.

My first is how is manpower production calculated?

Here is a screenshot from a commanders report export.

I assume E15 is the manpower created?
I assume H15 is the number of manpower factories?
I assume 9 is the axis manpower factory multipier?

9*H15=14,670 which is not the number in E15 - why are they different?

Many thanks to the person who explained the built number is an accumulated number. Still leaves the question open though - here is the commanders report export from turn 3

Subtracting the built number from turn 3 (44,534) from the built number in turn 2 (23,285) gives 21,249, which is still not the 14,670 we would expect?

Interesting post. I also understand the production reports need clarification as currently it feels like we're not playing the game to its fullest. Production and refitting are some of the most fascinating aspects of War in the East.

Many thanks for suggestions given to me - managed to get a bit closer.

Took the German, Polish and Czech numbers for factories in the commanders report export and multiplied by 9 (manpower production/factory/week), and then multiplied by 75% for Germany, 7% for others (numbers going to Axis Eastern front) and added them together to get 11,366

Still not equal to the production as stated on the production screen - anyone know why?

I think there were bugs affecting those numbers (fixed in 1.11.02):

Fixed a bug where Czech and Polish manpower production was using Axis Ally multipliers instead of German multipliers.
Fixed a bug where the logistics report contained wrong information about manpower produced and available, by not taking into account reductions of Czech and Polish production, that were applied at later stage.

You just gotta love this guy's ardent pursuit of squashing the insects infesting the code.
