Great campaign as German, first mud is here early August 1941 (turn 8). Fighting in such condition is near impossible I'm losing all battles even with apparent clear superiority. And not only with PGs but even infantry is struggling. What should I do ? My idea is to take the turn to rest and refit, don't try to attack under mud conditions.
I would appreciate your views about it.
Thanks

Spot on - mud means no one is going anywhere or doing anything! Attacks at best are exceptional, planned, and with massive odds in your favour - normally assume none.

Unusual to get mud so early - but by next turn should be back to normal.

Snow or mud: I'm wondering which is the worse condition for combat ?
For infantry ?
For mot. Infantry ?
For panzer divisions ?

and turn 20 .... So does it mean that the whole offensive is stopped until the weather improves ?
Is there a way to get weather forecasts for the next turn ?

Mud lowers CV values from what I can tell by 90% so that is hard to fight in

Snow, blizzard and mud increases the chance of you losing AFV's as they are not optimal when fighting in it and I think it is to simulate equipment being left behind when broken down but you would have to ask someone with better knowledge for accurate numbers as for Axis the losses in snow, blizzard still seem very low from what I can see

So when there's mud, what do you do ? Check your troops, organise refit, drop resupply, fix rail tracks, move reinforcement to the front and press END TURN ?
That's it ? I'm having 3 turns of mud in a row ...

The turns 18-21 are mud turns, after that you will have snow and then the dreaded blizzard!

Sure random weather has parameters though too otherwise there would be blizzards in summer

Each of the fronts will have about a 95% chance of mud from turns 18-21 I think without looking up the graph

And about the weather forecast it is at the top your logistics report but forecasts have a small chance of being wrong when random weather so keep that in mind bud

This is because there are not enough levels in weather model. There should be several levels of mud, like none, slightly muddy, fairly, very. Or even better, mud should be on a scale from 0 (no mud) to 10. With 9 and 10 preventing any type of attack, as it currently is and lower levels would have a gradual impact. This would allow more randomness than a purely binary mud/no mud.

Yeah that would be great I agree!

There is a more dynamic weather system coming in WitE2 but while playing this itteration it seems it is as good as it will get

It should be some levels of blizzard. Light, normal Russian blizzard, ****ing blizzard and the worse Syberian blizzard.

Random weather means that you have mud when you attack and clear when opponent attack.

If its first mud turn of many, then get cozy. But spring of 42 you'll get mud, clear, mud, clear sometimes. Frustrating but I still will do one or two attacks across the whole of the front. I look for where a Soviet Brigade is trying to hold the line somewhere and usually a couple of hasty attacks followed by a deliberate one will make him run for cover. And also helps to knock the fort down before it gets big. Just hunt and somewhere you'll find a victim.
