It's January 1943 in my first game as Soviet. By this point I realize I've wasted a lot of Admin points transferring divisions and support units from one front to another. Also didn't build enough AT units early. It's all a learning experience.

My first question, though, is what is considered the best production strategy? Build lots of support units in STAVKA and transfer? Or build more in the fronts themselves and save points by not having to move them?

Second. I know that an army can get support units from a superior HQ if there are any available, but why do I sometimes get an inexperienced unit instead of one with more experience? For instance, 5 tank regiments available, 3 have high experience factor but I get one with 20 Exp points. Seems reasonable to expect the best unit available. I know I can spend admin points to send specific units but would rather do it for free.

Third. AT units, better to build regiments or brigades? I can see advantages to both.

Thanks in advance for your response.

Build them in a HQ where it costs 0 admin points to transfer them out. Note : it will take about 20 turns before their experience gets close to their morale.

And which one to build??? If you have plenty of manpower, trucks and armaments it doesnt matter. When manpower is low build units that don't require many men (but they probably use lots of trucks), if armaments points are low check what has lots of items in the pool and build those...

I have never seen any difference in building a good number of AT units. I rather make artillery or engineer units. Or perhaps I am biased because in 1941 AT on map units are not good at all, just like most other soviet units.
