If you use the Original UI, the Transport Option Buttons don't show up well. As seen below, this change will make them visible as Rail, Air or Sea. [See also Posts 11 & 12].

RE: Theater Option - Green Button
Using the Original UI, you can change the background of the unit display in the upper right corner of the screen. In this case it is dark green, which is easier to see for some of us.

To get the above, unzip this file and place the individual files contained in the zip in the 'Documents/My Games/The Operational Art of War IV/'Graphics Override' folder. [These files must be placed individually, they will not work if contained in a separate folder].

RE: Theater Option - Green Button
Hey Steve. About the movement arrows. Is it possible to make the outline visible, maybe red or black, and the inside transparent so you can more easily see what's under them? [;)]
I understand they are kind of transparent now but totally transparent would be better IMO.

RE: Theater Option - Green Button
Download this file and unzip it to 'Program Files (x86) > Matrix Games > The Operational Art of War IV > graphics', let it overwrite the original. Alternately, if you don't like overwriting originals, unzip to 'Documents/My Games/The Operational Art of War IV/Graphics Override'. In this case, there should be no previous file of the same name in the location so it will not ask you to overwrite, it will just install. If it does ask you to overwrite, then you must have added a custom icon file at some point, so you should stop and check to see what is going on before you decide.

Steve,
Could you make all the 'mods' here into one zip?
I am a little overwhelmed and confused...but for TOAW IV I am new...again...

I don't think anybody would like them all [plus that would be another file that I have to maintain!]. But it shouldn't be confusing to you, I suggest that you play IV for a little bit, then stop in here and scroll thru the files to see if you like any of them, and download and install those.

RE: Theater Option - Green Button
Note that if you do put the files in the Graphics Override folder (instead of the Graphics folder) you must copy the s_ version from the Graphics folder to the Graphics Override folder too. Otherwise the small view will be screwed up. The code expects all three to be in the same folder, and if one is missing, one of the others will be substituted.ORIGINAL: sPzAbt653

We need to make sure this is included in the next update.

Steve and Bob,
Steve there is no s_CounterUnits in your zip, may not need it?
Bob, you mentioned the three s_ files there is actually 4, so I am assuming that I need all four in the My Docs folder?
s_CounterUnits
s_CounterBackground
s_CounterInsideColorMask
s_CounterOutsideColorMask
So a 'modder' would have to supply all four?

I was referring to the three CounterUnits files (small, huge, & large). That's all you should need.ORIGINAL: Zovs
