I just got my commanding officer killed by Soviet arty. The message said that it would have a serious impact on my commanding structure and that it would take time to reestablish the command links. I don't see any impact on the commanding cycles, order delays etc. So is everything working as it supposed to?

Update. In the subsequent turns, the duration of my command cycle almost doubled, so it seems that the destruction of the HQ had negative consequences at the end.

On a similar subject. What are exactly the penalties for the units for being out of the command range? Is it supposed to affect the combat delay? So far the only penalties I've noticed, is that the units cannot be switched to assault mode and that the artillery cannot be ordered to fire.

Also suffer diminished resupply IIRC. I also think there is a delay impact, but I would have to do some digging to verify. Maybe one of the other guys, knows off hand.

Thanks for the reply. I haven't noticed any impact on the delay.
