No torps.

Brooklyn as a quad turret arrangement.

Scheme "H" became Brooklyn.

This is Scheme "G".

I call her Phoenix because she was the lead ship of the second run of Brooklyns.

My question would be about mechanical reliability, fire rate, and protection from when another gun gets hit in the same turret. Since the USA liked the triple turret so much, what benefit would they get from just one more gun?

I did a "prototype" for a mod years ago with the same idea, but using 5's. It was called "Alfonso X Class" ( a medieval king of Castilla ): The idea was a CL which acts as "super destroyer leader" and as "convoy leader": Great autonomy, plenty of firepower, even depth charges, aircrafts..... at the expense of armor. I will check if I keep it.

Well, it's a design concept that didn't get off the drawing board, so I never considered any of those questions.

Caveat emptor.
