reported to staff to amend or add in more details, like buy from the site, you also get a free steam key, so can then have access to both builds etc, if site version is 64bit only etc?

Seems odd that customers that want direct purchase have less options... I don't know if I feel like dealing with d/l the whole steam client thing, yet another company that has access to my personal stuff, another logon etc etc. BAhh whatever, I still have my rubber boats that I can bring into the tub with me.

There was an issue running the 32 bit version from Program Files which we haven't yet resolved. As STeam doesnt install your apps to this folder this is ok for Steam. In our installer you can choose to put the game in that folder and many people recommended you do, so we didn't want to create issues. The developer is looking to see if we can find a fix, and we may be able to provide you a 32 bit exe as a hotfix, but on the understanding you have to install it to a different folder. Sorry for the inconvenience but we felt better to err on the side of caution here.

So it is correct the current version in the installer is 64 bit and we're attempting to find a solution to allow you to play in 32 bit.

Thanks for the info Slitherine and Turnopia! Will keep a look out! I'm not anti steam but have had not yet needed a reason to go that route and have always purchased direct.

Using 64 bit system, but I never install anything under Program Files, as any file movement, copying, manipulation results in the very annoying Administrator approval boxes popping up. I wonder if an option is available in Windows 10 to eliminate those pop ups.

yes there is, but not recommended

Code: Select all

http://www.zdnet.com/article/windows-10-tip-disable-annoying-app-notifications/

or

Code: Select all

https://www.howtogeek.com/279632/how-to-stop-microsoft-edges-pop-up-notifications/

but some are admin permissions ones etc, which needs higher alterations,...

Code: Select all

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/access-protection/access-control/local-accounts

where as these can be disabled altogether, i wouldn't recommend it or post links on how to do it either, as it's system protection etc

Why is Matrix installing everything in Program Files? It is very irritating for the reasons Rosseau describes. Until FOG2, all of my Matrix games were auto-installed into a separate Matrix folder outside of Program Files.
