I have a friend, login Schanilec, who had a PC disaster. He has a new PC, but now finds he can't log into the forums or the store page. I logged in the 'Forgot password' email, and it sent me to the login, but he is not getting the email.

What should he do?

The best solution is to email support, but I would expect they will want some additional info if the email isn't getting through (and he has checked his spam filters).

Cheers

Pip

I believe he's tried that, I told him to try again I have his details, but I can understand reluctance if I didn't know the answer to a secret question, or something.

Thanks Pip

Tell him to email us at support[at]slitherine.co.uk

That may be what he is doing wrong. Walking through it, I told him to email support@matrix.com, per the lost password support page.

It's actually support@matrixgames.com but the best method is to use the help desk (see my signature).

Some users don't know how to use the helpdesk, so for those it's best to contact us at support[at]matrixgames.com or support[at]slitherine.co.uk; either email addresses will open a ticket in the Slitherine helpdesk.
For the tech support team, it's irrelevant if users contact us in the Matrix helpdesk or the Slitherine helpdesk.
The only thing that we appreciate, is when contacting us by email, do not to open a helpdesk ticket in Matrix.

OK, found part of the problem. Guys email is corrupt. Marc can send, and I can send, directly to him. But his header is messed up. I can send to his email 1234@serviceprovider.com. He can send to any of my email accounts. But his header shows it came from 123@serviceprovider.com, and any Reply goes to that email...which is invalid.

I think that's why he is not getting reply from Slitherine. Very weird

Then he should use the Matrix helpdesk system:

He can't log in. That was his initial problem. And he's not getting emails when he opened a ticket, which I think I have figured out.
