I am thinking about starting my first game of this in years, so I was looking at Admiral's edition and was pissed that a lot of my fixes from CHS days are now gone.
So, I have modded quite few aircraft and a few ships to make them accurate. Also, the arrival dates for Japanese aircraft are all over the place, some show up a month before serial production started, some 3 months after production started. I am changing basically all Japanese aircraft to have a build date one month later than historical which will balance out with a spread out R&D program.
Okay, shipbuilding; hopefully you all realize that there are ships in the production que that were never built. I like choices, even poor choices, for options. I have added the other two Tone class cruisers, two Taiho class carriers, the fourth Yamato class BB, maybe one or two more ships. Now, before the allied fan boys scream in horror, there are no, zero, nada, extra shipyards for Japan. So, this just provides choices.
I have generally played the Japanese so if there is an Allied opponent out there or if someone wants to run the Japanese I can run the Allies. I generally house rule no more than line straitening attacks in China for both sides till '44.
I hope to finish this before I die, so several turns per week would be nice. Obviously the first few turns can be a bit slow.
