I thought that I had seen most of the things this game has to offer, but this is the first time I have come across no fewer than three small pirate controlled space ports all orbiting the same gas giant.

The problem is, of course, that by the time I manage to disengage a fleet big enough to take on all three from my war with the Haakonish and the other pirate factions I am fighting, they will probably be three medium or large space ports. Ouch!

I take my hat off to the Murderous Storm Pillagers.

From my launch AAR, 6 or 7 pirate bases (I think an issue has been fixed for that, though)

If you use long-range weapons (fighters, missiles, maybe torpedoes), you might be able to manage your ships so as to engage one station at a time. I'd suggest jumping the ships to a point near the stations and then moving in on the targets at sublight speed rather than jumping in on top of the stations.

You might also consider jumping to the star at the system center and waiting a little while to bait off any pirate warships which are visiting the stations.

This looks like a job for a suicide escort fleet. As you fight your other wars pause the game and queue up a shizzton of cheap escorts and toss them at the stations. You can keep doing this until they are gone and it won't make a dent in your economy. Just make sure to custom design the escorts for maximum firepower with only the minimum of shields and armour and fuel as its a one way trip. I love escort fleet spam.

I might be able to get one of them that way, but the other two are almost superimposed on each other.

My standard tactic for attacking space ports is to begin by attacking any mining stations in the system. That forces the enemy to defend them by sending his ships to battle my fleet outside of the range of the space port's weapons. Divide and conquer!
