I posted this in the modding forums.
On both sides of diplomacy you can offer credits. I want to increase all values by a factor of 10, OR failing that change the last value $100,000.00 credits to ONE MILLION credits.

Is there an ini file I am missing on where I can do this? I will find myself mid to late game with 100 million + credits, and the Ugnari will offer the Raptor targeting system for 87 Million Credits.

I have to click the 100K button way too many times to get the tech. A 1 million credits offer clicked 87 times is still crazy but easier.

Can ANYONE help with this?

the only way seem to me to make a change to some "ini" file as you suggest, but I'm not an expert of modding..

I think you are out of luck. My simple solution is to not do tech trading at all...

A possible workaround to using lots of cash, is to try to create some contested mines that you can trade away. But I am not sure that is so easy to set up.

The man to ask for changing hardcoded values like this would be RogerBacon, his Bacon Mod makes some pretty impressive hardcoded changes to the game.

That aside, it might be possible to use something like cheat engine to change the value on the fly.

When getting to cheat engines, I must admit that I have never used the editor to anything else than swapping my own flag a few times...

But wouldn't it be possible to assign yourself the tech, subtract the cash, and add the cash to the other empire through the editor? Granted, you lose the "we accept" part of the trade.

Ok so the value is hardcoded. Ok. Its kinda frustrating if I had 498,789,566.00 credits and in order to buy a resort base or even get another ai to embargo or go to war, they require 388,865,179.00 credits. How many clicks does it take to get to this value using only credits and not tech? >>>>> a carpel tunnel amount!

Larsenex, have you tryed to contact RogerBacon ?

as Sabranan says, his "BaconMod" Distant Worlds mod makes "some pretty impressive hardcoded changes to the game".

maybe his experience can help here
