The Fascists have a strong line facing us. Our position is secure, but making rapid progress will be difficult.

The Union

November 1934

Great news the Fascist Capital Palermo is taken along with the city of Casoria, the road to Lecce is open but unfortunately The Union have placed a roadblock preventing our Republican forces from taking a run at the Fascist second city.

Union forces have swung around to isolate Lecce.

The forces of Nippon are arriving on the scene.

Just a heads up I am out of the country for a couple of week, so internet will be of the hotel variety so my turns may come a bit spotty.

The Fascists have been pushed into Lecce, except for one armored formation. The USN air attacks suffered heavy losses.

We may be able to see a clash of armor as Nippon has an armored division.

A week for reinforcing threatened positions and shoring up creaking defences as well as retaking the city of Casoria from the fascists not all territory taken from and then subsequently lost to the fascists has been recaptured, a long way to go but a sense that supply is now becoming a problem for the fascists with only two remaining cities, and a large army to supply.

The Union forces take Lecce and destroy nearly all the Fascist forces nearby.

The Union troops have fought well, as have those of our ally Nippon.

The Union and Nippon have finished off the Fascist forces and a border with the Republic established.

The world is approaching peace.

As suggested the Fascists are beginning to crumble unable to supply a enormous military with just two cities controlled from what was a large empire. This is still however a difficult and ongoing military challenge, we had requested The Union not take part in active operations in the heartland of the Fascists as we are not allied Nippon forces as Allies are welcome, but we note that the border had not just been "established" but has as shown, has been heavily manned by non allied Union forces, forcing The Republic to match these forces, this is not helpful I am sure they will claim that they have a need to be on the border but as the fascists have been utterly destroyed in that area we fail to see any need as the Republic had only placed one light unit on the border, that has been raised to 7 full strength units as the intentions of The Union are not clear.

The Fascists even though they are reduced to 10% readiness and lower are proving to be a brick wall so many of them they simply will not give ground against Republic forces supplied and well fed and at 100% readiness losses were high for little progress.

People, I suggest a change in the victory rules, this kind "only one winner" rules isn´t working.
Up to know we only had a war with the poor Fascist Empire.
I suggest a division of the players in two alliances. As IronDuke, on one hand and cpdeyoung/me on the other got some extra points, I suggest TheRepublic/DasReich/Eastern Empire on one side and The Union/Nippon/The Empire in the order.

I believe that we are a small community and, to some extent, we all became friends, it´s hard for us to backstab a friend, and a game with only one winner is all about treason and backstabbing. Maybe teamwork is much more appealing to us. Just my 2 cents.

Good point, althought the good tanks go all to the other, maybe it would be interesting to see how these assymetry could work.

I would say for this game let's play it out, as is, because I have been doing deals with proposed enemies in that breakdown...maybe the next time we do something like this we do 4 v 4 or 3 v 3 or soemthing?

11TH May 1935

The last Italian Fascist city has fallen all that remains are small pockets of local resistance, alarming documents that have fallen into our hands from the fascists regime have revealed the nation behind the unprovoked attack on the Republic, if these documents prove to be authentic they provide grounds for war.

Sorry, I forgot about the AAR... I'm a might bit noob.

"I believe that we are a small community and, to some extent, we all became friends, it´s hard for us to backstab a friend, and a game with only one winner is all about treason and backstabbing. Maybe teamwork is much more appealing to us. Just my 2 cents."

I will tip my hand, but so be it--I will never back-stab. Bad karma, bad form, or whatever, for me I don't even like digital betrayal. Not to say other shouldn't... it can make for a great story line in a game.

"-What about: The Republic/The Empire/ Eastern Empire

I kinda' thought this was the way it was shaping up. Das and I are building the Maginot line reboot and redoubled, so I'd hate to waste all building on a friend.

The Republic can confirm that documents provided by The Empire intelligence service (British) and given to the Italians, these forged documents purport to be from The Republic and are accompanied by operational maps showing a invasion plan of the Italians Homeland by The Republic, this was totally false and led to the Italian declaration of war. And the subsequent loss of life. The Republic has declared war on The Empire for this heinous act cannot go unpunished, the Eastern Empire and Das Reich have joined the British, The Republic has turned to its ally Nippon and The Union for aid in this just war.

Now that's a dozzy... goes to show you never trust the French.

"The honorable Eastern Empire is outraged by the obvious contrivance and betrayal. All out war against the Republic, all those who have sided with the Rebublic, is declared. Undying loyalty to Das Reich and the continued allegiance to the Empire will be enforced with all the mighty and vengeance of the noble children of the Motherland." From the Holy Czar's recent speech "Freedom Is only Earned With Blood"

"In recent news a series of round up's of democratic opposition to the royal thrones power has taken place. Several of the leaders of the Democratic movement were executed after a speedy trial."
