hex coordinates

You often receive reports indicating the hex coordinates, e.g 103, 134. Is there a tool/hotkey that allows you to go directly to that hexagon rather than having to scroll by yourself using the mouse?

I think that by using the combat report tool, you can click on each reported message and the location is shown/highlighted in the map below. However, although the combat tool works for me, the map is not showing. So i cant use that method to easily locate the hexagons. I'm using the latest patch afak, V.1.71

Download the Combat Tracker. You'll find a link to it pinned in one of the subforums (I think it's in Scenario Design/Modding, but don't quote me). Use that utility and you will be able to see exactly where things are being reported.

While you're at it, I suggest downloading the WiTPAE tracker, which is pinned to the top of this subforum. This is useful to both Allied and Japanese players in the grand campaign, but it is an absolute necessity for the Japanese player when it comes to economic planning.

Unfortunately, there is no was in the game to zoom to hex coordinates of reports, which is a flaw I'd correct if this game ever saw a second iteration and I was involved developing it.

thanks a lot. I installed but i cant see the map. i dont know why.

on the other hand, do you keep the combat tracker running in a second monitor or how do you do to follow it and see the game screen at the same time?

After the first time you run it after the install you often need to close the application and restart it. It should then populate the map. If that for some reason doesn't work post in the tracker thread and I'm sure people with more knowledge on the technical side will be able to help you.
