the only update installed today was a combination one, so a pack of all that's been released so far, the only one that does back ground scanning is

Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool for Windows 8, 8.1, 10 and Windows Server 2012, 2012 R2, 2016 x64 Edition - December 2016 (KB890830)

the rest are just security updates and fixes for other installed programs
Windows 11 Pro 64-bit (10.0, Build 22621) (22621.ni_release.220506-1250)

if you mean you've had a auto upgrade bit added to your pc today and your running a different o/s than win 10, then not sure why, as that was disabled, but if it hasn't been it will be scanning your pc to make sure it's compatible with it, but unless you agreed to download, it shouldn't have no longer been installed on auto, only a manual install does it now

this stopped on August 1, 2016
