Airplane Production Cost

Post by adarbrauner »

Is there any variable production cost for airplanes rather than the number of engines (i.e. shall a Ki 27 be cheaper and easily mass produced than a ki 84)?

Sorry but cannot search the Forum for previous similar threads.

No, it just based on the number of engines. This is covered in the manual as well.

If you need to search, you can use google. Enter your search term, and then site:matrixgames.com, like this:

aircraft production cost site:matrixgames.com

More often than not, you don't need to include the WITP bits in the search term or the URL to the forum in the site restrictor as in most cases the AE thing you are searching is not going to show up in another game's forums on this site.

Manual p. 232

For aircraft to be built, there must be Heavy Industry in the pool equal to 18 times the number
of engines required to build each plane; when a plane is built, the appropriate number of Heavy
Industry is consumed. For example, to produce a 2 engine plane, 36 Heavy Industry will be
consumed, while a single engine plane consumes 18 Heavy Industry.

Don't forget each engine costs 18 HI to produce by itself, so a single engine plane costs 36.

thank you so much for having been so clear;
anyhow yes, i saw the rules, but i suspected that nontheless some allowance was made in the game to take in consideration different production costs per single airplane - or/and engine - type, even if not expressely written in manual;

maybe in future, or shall it be to complicated to be integrated with the current production system or not necessary?
