Maginot Line attack 1940

Post by jamoseman1 »

The Germans did attack part of the Maginot Line during 1940. They chose the weakest part of the line which was the last fort on the line extension. Scale map was rendered from an actual survey of the Montmedy area. OB's are as close as possible with some play balancing. AI plays the French very close to historical. Germans have the potential to suffer heavy casualties for little gain. The French did not use dragon teeth which is what the game editor allows. They used railroad spikes which function the same in the game.

I am working on a scenario covering the planned Axis invasion of Malta, Operation Hercules. The original AH version was THE hot new game of it's day. Again, I have downloaded an exact map of the island and have the OBs. I am not sure how the scattering effect will work with the air drop. Merry Christmas to all the Old Breed wargamers.
