Manuals will not open

I try to open the game manual fromt he start menu and nothing happens. Then I try to just open them from the game folder, nothing happens for a awhile then I get an error that says 'Adobe cannot reach the DDE server.'

are you on line when you try it?

does adobe have permissions to access online?

have you tried running it with admin permissions, eg right click run as admin

or
Locate a PDF on the system via Search (any PDF will do)
Hold down the Shift key and right-click the PDF file > Select 'Open with..'
Select either Acrobat or Adobe Reader (depending on which application is actually installed)
Check the box at the bottom of the dialog box that says 'Always open with..'

and if that doesn't help or work, uninstall adobe and reinstall it and re try

Well this seems to be a problem with Adobe as none of my pdfs are working. Two days ago they worked, now they don't. Thanks for your help. I think the best solution is to reinstall Adobe.
