TOAW Scenario Archive

Post by RyanCrierie »

I did this earlier this year and I haven't really publicized this until now.

Short Summary:

Over a period of April to Mid-May 2016, I cleared out as many scenario depots for TOAW as I could, including:

GameSquad Depot (1 download/minute limit)

Rugged Defense (10 downloads/hour limit)

http://www.dizium.net/TOAW

Old Games Depot Archive (Wargamer) archived at https://web.archive.org/web/20110217230 ... r=2&page=1

Old "No Panzers Please" Archived Website.

And I present the results, organized in the same folder tree system as Rugged Defense, but in ZIP format for easier downloading.

Hopefully, this is of assistance to TOAWers who want to play a lot of older scenarios.

I also have the following Stauffenberg-McBride Scenarios, obtained from various people on different message boards:

Afghan-IndoPak War 2001
Braunschweig v7-1
Drang Nach Osten v3.5, 3.6, 3.7
Kursk 1943 Revised
Operation Mars v1.5, 1.7
Rundstedt's Plan Martin (BulgeMax) v3.1
The Great War v2.0
Gotterdammerung v1.81

If you want them, go to the page linked at the top of this post, and download the McBride zip file.

It will be encrypted with a pass phrase to prevent random drive by downloadings and distribution.

Somewhere on this thread will be a post by me containing the pass phrase for the ZIP to unlock it and let you in.

Hopefully, this will satisfy the original creator's wishes while retaining a (slightly) delayed instant reaction, so that you don't have to wait and wait.

Once again, I hope this will be of use to you all.

Holy war game Batman. That is a lot of work. [&o]

The best thing about all of this is now others will have this and it will never go away.

Cyberstratege Pack - This pack contains twelve scenarios that were published on the included CD-ROMs with the French wargaming magazine Cyberstratege from 1997 to 2000 (when the magazine ceased publication). Each individual ZIP contains the original scenario file from the magazine, along with converted versions (to run in TOAW3).

If you should wish to access the McBride Scenarios through the archive, the pass phrase is:

S
T
A
L
I
N
A

repack that phrase into a single line with no spaces between the characters, and using ALL CAPS; you should get into the file.

Hopefully this satisfies the "not easily accessible" criteria, while lightening my workload.

Slight modification in the Decision in the North 41 file in the WW2 collection.

I correctly identified it as version 2.3 and added a scenario document/readme that I found from a slightly older version on a archived copy of the old TDG.nu page.

Nice work on putting all of that together. I need to let you know that I have decided to discontinue the Dizium.Net site. Thanks very much for including it initially, and sorry for the inconvenience. [:)]

Great job on assembling this archive. In light of the TOAW IV launch, this is even more helpful!

Question re your McB zip
I retrieved the pass and downloaded the zips. But how and where do I enter that?

Many thanks!

Unfortunately, it appears that Rugged Defense is gone. RIP Rugged Defense for 20 years of TOAW.

Aye, was there when it was started by Cyberfox. Sad to see it gone.
