Ignore clickbait War is Boring title...[;)]

Some useful stuff here from a Rand report onto PLAAF pilot training for those creating current/future Chinese scenarios and wondering what skill level to set pilots at.

http://www.rand.org/pubs/research_reports/RR1415.html

Short version: PLAAF making efforts to introduce 'Red Flag'-style less-scripted tactical training to challenge/push. However still lag USAF in combat tactics thanks to deep history/experience of Soviet GCI doctrine.

Just set all PLAAF units into Novice and/or Cadet, so you can have the Rand version of PLAAF strength.

Both article and Rand's PDF are dodged one thing that PLAAF pilots are chasing, since 2012:

https://www.strategypage.com/dls/articl ... 7-2012.asp
https://www.wired.com/2013/02/china-mock-air-war/ (reported in 2013)
http://news.xinhuanet.com/mil/2014-03/2 ... 299500.htm (reported in 2014)

Oh wait, Rand did paid attention about it at the same year (2016), but never explained in detail. I presumed it's an extension of the previous edition about PLAAF only do trainings in theory, until they searched the term "Golden Helmet".

In that case, PLAAF can have Ace too for CMANO.
